Simple Ways to a Slim Healthy Body

We all want an easy way of life and to have things that are easy to do and hassle free wherever possible. That includes having to lose weight, often because our free and easy lives got us overweight in the first place!

So what are the easy or simple ways to lose those excess pounds that we put on and now realize that we have to lose or else?

Well I read these three great tips for keeping a healthy body size and it dawned on me that so many people are trying to muddy the waters by being too complicated with the way they go about trying to lose weight. We do need to simplify and the best way to do that is to get back down to basics.

There are some really basic precepts that go with obtaining a great looking and physically healthy body and they can best be set out into three main areas.

They are diet, exercise and mental attitude.


It doesn’t take Einstein to figure out that eating all the wrong foods and too much of them is what has made us overweight in the main. Too many pizzas delivered on a Friday night, too many burger joint lunches and too many fried breakfasts are likely culprits.

Add to that all the sweet things we love to eat like cakes, pie, donuts, candy bars and it soon adds up to a load of excess calories being loaded on every day. And don’t forget what you’re drinking there too. Soda is a ton of calories in every can, while sugared tea or coffee with cream all adds up to extra inches around your waist!

So cut down on all that junk and start eating healthily. Replace some (or all if you can) of those junk meals with home cooked meals made from fresh ingredients and not stuff bought in packets or cans.

Swap soda for plain water and watch your calorie count drop like a stone! Cut out all those empty calories in candy bars and keep the sweet stuff to the barest minimum and you’ll be amazed at how much weight drops off you thanks to your diet to lose weight that you have created.


If dieting along is not enough, and it rarely is, you need to do something to jump start your metabolism. Many people lead sedentary lifestyles because they work at a desk or driving a vehicle all day and they come home in the evenings and slump on the sofa to watch TV until they go to bed.

Exercising is getting up off that sofa and getting active for an hour or so a day. You need to do this to boost your metabolism and get your body processing the food you are eating more efficiently so less of it can get stored as fat. Mental Attitude

You have to be motivated to lose weight or you just won’t do anything to make it happen. Being motivated takes enthusiasm and eagerness for the task ahead and to have those things you must have the right mental attitude towards it. You need to think positively about losing weight and your ability to make it happen.

Motivation means you will do all the things you have to do in order to shed those unwanted pounds and tone up your flabby body so that it will eventually look great. You also need a high level of motivation because weight loss is not quick. In fact for most people it happens slowly and gradually and steadily and you have to be prepared for that.

So get your mind around what you have to do, get into the feeling place of wanting to do it more than anything else and with the motivation that you can stir up you will be ready to get your diet fixed and start exercising in advance of the new look that you expect to enjoy in a few months down the line.

Maintaining the Right Weight is Important for Your Health

For most people who tend to stay around their correct weight for their height and build, health is not an issue as they generally keep themselves in good condition with a healthy diet and some daily activity that keeps everything in balance. Its when we start to gain weight that warning signs should be taken note of because they could be telling us that our health may not be up to par.
